Located along Avenida 28 de Julio, the hotel puts you right in one of Miraflores’ most walkable areas. Guests can step outside to explore local parks, boutiques, and restaurants on foot, or reach the coastal Malecón boardwalk in under 15 minutes. An adjacent plaza offers added convenience with an organic grocery store, cafes, and casual eateries right next door — making this an ideal home base for exploring Lima without having to rely on taxis for every outing.
Visually, the hotel features a distinct modern industrial style marked by exposed structural elements, high ceilings, clean lines, and energetic pops of bright color. The open-concept lobby serves as the central hub of the property, anchored by the WXYZ Bar and a comfortable lounge area complete with a pool table where guests can gather and unwind.
Throughout my stay, the service stood out as consistently professional, polite, and genuinely helpful. The breakfast team was especially kind and attentive each morning, and the hotel even delivered a special dessert plate to my room as a thoughtful welcome gesture.
Accommodations: Rooms & Suites
Guest rooms continue the modern industrial look, pairing airy high ceilings with massive floor-to-ceiling windows that fill the spaces with natural light and frame views of the surrounding city skyline. Standard in-room touches across all categories include plush bathrobes, slippers, an in-room coffee and tea station, mini-fridges, rainfall showers (no bathtubs), and Drybar bath amenities.
Choosing the right room comes down to space needs and preferred layouts. The hotel offers accessible configurations across most primary categories:
Urban Room (22 sqm / 237 sq ft): Entry-level guest room with 1 King bed facing the city.
Deluxe Guest Room (26 sqm / 280 sq ft): Offered with 1 King or 2 Queen beds.
Grand Deluxe Guest Room (27 sqm / 291 sq ft): Expanded room layout with 1 King or 2 Queen beds.
Sweet Room (29 sqm / 312 sq ft): Corner guest room with 1 King bed and wrapping windows.
Savvy Suite (44 sqm / 490 sq ft): Top-tier suite featuring 1 King bed, separate living room, and an apartment-like layout.
I stayed in a Savvy Suite, which had a spacious two-room layout that felt more like a private city apartment than a standard hotel room. The light-filled living area featured a dedicated desk workspace and a separate coffee counter stocked with an espresso machine, teas, a mini-fridge —making it a high-value base for getting some work done during my visit. Both the living room and separate bedroom offered large flat-screen TVs, comfortable seating, and massive wraparound windows that brought in tons of natural light. Each window also included blackout shades that completely blocked out the city light for privacy and comfort at night.
The separate bedroom was anchored by a king-sized bed and led directly into a generous open-concept bathroom equipped with a walk-in rainfall shower, large vanity, shelving and closet space with hangers, and a separate enclosed toilet. It proved to be a fantastic setup for spreading out comfortably without having the luxury-resort price tag. (Note: While the shower and toilet stalls both had individual privacy doors, the main vanity area itself remained open to the bedroom layout.)
Dining & Facilities
The property offers around-the-clock food options alongside lifestyle amenities designed for relaxation and fitness:
WXYZ Restaurant & Bar: The hotel’s primary dining and evening social spot, serving Peruvian and international plates as well as signature cocktails. Select nights include live music performances from local artists (Live@Aloft).
Breakfast at WXYZ: A daily breakfast buffet featuring an array of fresh tropical fruits, pastries, cold cuts, cheeses, rotating hot dishes, yogurts, juices, cereals, and a small gluten-free section. Guests can also order fresh hot dishes made to order from the kitchen, including omelettes, Eggs Benedict, and avocado toast.
Re:fuel (24/7): A self-serve grab-and-go market in the lobby offering snacks, coffee, light meals, and drinks at any hour of the day or night.
24-Hour Room Service: In-room dining was quick, attentive, and consistently delicious. All service charges are transparently included directly in the menu pricing with no unexpected fees.
Indoor Pool & Courtyard: A heated indoor pool opened straight out into an outdoor courtyard with plenty of loungers and comfortable seating.
Fitness Center: A well-maintained gym stocked with Technogym cardio machines, free weights, and functional strength gear for a complete workout.
Key Considerations
Street Noise Realities: Because the hotel sits directly at the intersection of three major, highly trafficked avenues, city traffic noise is a noticeable factor throughout the day and night. Sounds from passing ambulances, sirens, and car horns carry up easily to the higher floors, including to my 9th-floor suite. The building's soundproofing is somewhat light, so if you are sensitive to noise or a light sleeper, bring earplugs or request a room set away from the main avenues. However, being that my home is also located in a major city, traffic noise was not disruptive to me.
Executive Lounge Note: Please note that the property does not feature an Executive Lounge for Marriott Bonvoy elite members. I was offered a choice of free breakfast or bonus points at check-in for my loyalty status.
Pet Policy: Aloft is a dog-friendly hotel that welcomes small dogs.
